I'm Mandy
welcome to kindred
Iβm glad youβre here!
Hi folks! Iβm Mandy Jankus, a teacher, mother, Certified Life Coach, and Daring Way Facilitator living in the Greater Chicago area. Like most people, Iβve had my fair share of emotional bumps and bruises. During those dark hours, Iβve found immense support in Dr. BrenΓ© Brownβs research on vulnerability, courage-building, and shame resilience. Today, Iβm honored to use her curriculumβcombined with tenants of social-emotional learningβto facilitate whole-hearted conversations with students, faculty, women-led organizations, and a small number of individual coaching clients.

Leaning into discomfort has changed my life and deeply impacted my approach to teaching and coaching.
Our natural response is to numbβor run fromβpainful emotions. Whether itβs trauma, grief, or a difficult truth, weβre taught to tuck it away or suck it up. But what if we took the opposite approach? Together, we will find the courage to lean into discomfort, to listen to our hearts, and to treat ourselves and others with heartfelt empathy.
