this month I’ll turn 42
42 🔄☀️

I’ve had this age etched in my heart since my mom had a heart attack when she was 42. each passing birthday since she’s been diagnosed filled me with increasing anxiety.

grief math also reminds me

this is how we spent most of her last trip to Seattle for Thanksgiving. she had her Micah & because Luna was an actual angel she knew my mom was sick & didn’t leave her side.

Andy traveled to Rome that year with his students so I felt

real talk: perimenopause
I started on HRT a couple months ago by way of estrogen patch & progesterone. as predicted by my doctor I felt a difference pretty quickly. the deep depression subsided, brain fog lifted, & insomnia improved.
